Gravelton 2026 · Clark, Pampanga

Rules & regulations

Please read carefully. By registering, every participant agrees to abide by these rules and regulations. A few details — cut-off times and the full penalty schedule — will be finalized with the route reveal.
General Conduct

Gravelton Clark is a dynamic racing environment involving many factors. Engagement, coordination, and collaboration among riders are part of the experience. Riders will:

  • Practice good sportsmanship at all times;
  • Be responsible for their own safety and the safety of others;
  • Obey traffic regulations and instructions from Technical Officials and marshals;
  • Treat other competitors, organizers, officials, volunteers, and spectators with respect and courtesy;
  • Avoid the use of abusive language;
  • Inform a Technical Official and Event Organiser after withdrawing from the race;
  • Compete without receiving assistance other than from event personnel and officials;
  • Not dispose of rubbish or equipment around the course except at clearly identified places, such as feed stations or rubbish disposal points. All items must be kept with the competitor and returned to their transition spot;
  • Not attempt to gain an unfair advantage from any external vehicle or object;
  • Follow the prescribed course;
  • Not use any device that distracts them from paying full attention to their surroundings. Communication devices of any type — including but not limited to smartwatches and two-way radios — may not be used in any distractive manner during the race.
Categories & Eligibility

Distances: 120KM (Individual), 80KM (Individual), 50KM (Partner). Categories: Men's Gravel, Men's MTB, Men's E-bike, Women's Gravel/MTB, Women's E-bike.

The 50KM Partner format is ridden as a two-rider pair — one entry covers both riders, and the pair's official time is recorded when the second (last) rider crosses the finish line. It is a non-competitive category with no awards for the fastest pairs.

No participant below 18 years old may compete in any variant of the race. Age is determined by deducting the participant's birth year from 2026.

Age group classifications

Men's — Gravel & MTB (all distances): 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60 & above.

Men's — E-bike (all distances): Open Category.

Women's — Gravel / MTB / E-bike (all distances): Open age category (mass release).

Health

Gravel races and other related endurance sports are strenuous. To compete, athletes should be in excellent physical condition — their health and welfare is of paramount importance. By joining and starting a competition, athletes declare they are in good health and in appropriate physical condition to complete it.

Cut-off times for the short and long courses will be announced soon.

Bikes, Helmets & Equipment

Helmets

  • No helmet, no ride.
  • Helmets must be worn in all official activities when the athlete rides the bike: competition, familiarization, and training sessions.
  • Any alteration to any part of the helmet, including the chin strap, or the omission of any part, including an outer cloth cover, is prohibited.
  • The helmet must be securely fastened and fit properly at all times, and any garment worn underneath must not affect the fit while the athlete is in possession of the bike.

Recommended & allowed equipment

  • Gravel bikes are highly recommended.
  • Allowed bikes: gravel bikes, cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes.
  • Allowed wheel sizes: 26” / 27.5” / 29 / 650B / 700C.
  • Minimum tire sizes: 35C for gravel bikes / 2.1 for mountain bikes.

Illegal equipment

  • Headphones, headsets, technical earplugs, or smart helmets that are inserted in or cover the ears.
  • Glass containers.

All bikes pass a bike check at Saturday check-in before receiving a start sticker.

Timing & Cut-offs

All distances are fully timed with official results. The fastest finishers in the individual distances are recognized and awarded. Intermediate and finish cut-off times per distance will be announced with the route reveal.

Outside Assistance & Aid Stations
  • Assistance from event personnel or Technical Officials is allowed but limited to drinks, nutrition, mechanical, and medical assistance, upon the approval of the Technical Delegate or Head Referee. Athletes in the same competition may assist each other with incidental items such as nutrition and drinks after an aid station, pumps, tubular tires, inner tubes, and puncture repair kits.
  • Participants may not provide any item of equipment to an athlete in the same competition that results in the donor being unable to continue their own competition. This includes but is not limited to the complete bicycle, frame, wheels, and helmet. The penalty is disqualification of both athletes.
  • Participants are prohibited from receiving support from non-participants, non-members of the organizing team, and non-members of the technical or medical teams. Receiving such support will result in disqualification.
Registration & Race Kit
  • The date of payment in registration is the basis for determining whether the right amount was remitted under the early–regular–late schedule of registration fees.
  • All participants must claim their own race kit at the official competition registration area during designated times, and must present a government-issued ID to claim it.
  • Athletes caught using another person's race kit during the event, or allowing another athlete to race on their behalf under their name, will be banned from participating in Gravelton and GoClark events for a minimum of 2 years.
Race Numbers

All participants must keep their race numbers visible at all times: race plate at the front of the bike and race-number stickers on the front of the helmet. Numbers may not be cut, folded, or altered in any way. Do not transfer your number to any other athlete or take a number from an athlete who is not competing.

Insurance

All participants must be covered by their own personal accident insurance that covers any accident before, during, and after the race.

Penalties & Disqualification

Disqualification applies to, among others: receiving support from non-participants or non-officials; providing race-ending equipment to another athlete (both athletes disqualified); and using another person's race kit or racing under another's name.

The full penalty schedule for rule violations will be published with the route reveal.

Force Majeure

In the event of cancellation or definitive interruption of the competition for any reason outside the control of the Organizers — and in particular a cancellation due to any case of force majeure, decisions by public authorities (in particular for reasons of public health, safety, or preserving public order), or risks of bad weather or bad weather conditions at the time of the event — the Organizer will incur no liability whatsoever towards the competitors, and registration fees will not be reimbursed. Competitors hereby renounce any right of reclamation or request for repayment whatsoever, whether in the case of a cancellation or a definitive interruption of the event.

Waiver, Terms & Refunds

All participants must accept the Participant Waiver and Terms & Conditions.

Cancellations (full refund) and entry transfers are accepted until 23 September 2026, 11:59 PM (PHT); no cancellations or transfers after that date.
